The blue Cinema in Chur is a 12,000 m² multitainment venue where lightlines define the design: a continuous linear element at the entrance and dynamic, staggered lines inside create an inviting atmosphere. This theme extends throughout the multiplex with track lighting, linear insets, and spotlights. In the entrance corridors and cinema halls, integrated lightlines create a starship-like ambiance. Lighting colors blue and gold create striking contrasts.
The lighting design also considers screens as additional light sources, managing reflections and ensuring pendant lights do not obstruct views. On the rooftop terrace, atmospheric lighting in steps and platforms provides orientation and coziness without interfering with projections.

The Event & Conference Centre is situated at the at the Guangyang Island which is a land bridge island. Dominated by subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forests in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. The main objective is to maintain a sustainable lighting concept to reduce light pollution to a minimum, providing visitors an unobstructed and pure environment and night sky.

The lighting concept features low glare light fixtures and glare controlled mounting details. Through the hierarchical design of the lighting, the visitors can feel the mutual radiance and tolerance of the building and the hills, as well as the “sequence of flowing water” form of the building. The lighting moved upward from a low level, leading the guest to raise their sights slowly, and continue to higher level as they stepped forward.

The new Jil Sander flagship store on London’s fashionable New Bond Street is a monolithic space, seemingly sculpted from a single piece of stone. Its design centers on materiality, with innovative lighting that highlights the varied textures of the surfaces and enhances the sensory experience. This approach aims to create an inviting atmosphere across two levels with distinctive lighting designs.

On the ground floor, lighting mimics a natural, airy artist’s studio, creating a bright environment with subdued shadows and a cozy ambiance. The backlit ceiling dramatically transforms the space’s aesthetic. In contrast, the lower floor offers a more intimate setting with lighting integrated within dome-like structures, appearing as if carved from the ceiling.

The lighting design strategy balances brightness with subtle contrasts and accents to spotlight products effectively. The selected 3500K color temperature not only fosters intimacy but also enhances the distinctive blue tone of the travertine, highlighting its unique quality. This careful design ensures a calm and elegant ambiance that enriches the shopping experience without being overwhelming.

Architect: Gensler
Completion year: 2023

Refurbishment of one of the most iconic buildings in the Hammersmith borough. Lichtvision’s lighting scope involved; the new landscape area at the main entrance of the building, interior foyer, reception hall with two full-height light wells, the cafe area and the iconic crow’s nest. Gensler’s design intent was to render the new concept of contemporary and enjoyable working space by using wooden finishes and sinuous lines for a more hospitality oriented workplace.

The lighting approach follows the architectural concept forming a ribbon effect and leading people into the stepped-back reception. The effect is achieved by highlighting wood materials, low-level lighting at counters and banquettes with a graphic approach followed in the outdoor space. Two eight-store light wells are using a similar graphic window light approach allowing for an extended view into the skylights. The crow’s nest offers a cozy VIP setting with a graphic effect approach for long-distance views. ARK becomes a true landmark of the Hammersmith area.
