Daylighting

Daylight holds increasing significance in the planning process regarding sustainability and well-being. Beyond mere technical components, effective daylighting solutions revolve around architectural principles, evaluating openings like windows, skylights, and atriums.

Lichtvision initiates daylight designs with sketches, reference images, and daylight simulations during the concept phase, facilitating discussions and coordination of the design. Fine-tuning occurs through adjustments to architecture and interior design based on these simulation results.

Specific parameters, such as glazing properties and sun protection systems, are then considered. Lichtvision collaborates with architects and façade designers, creatively and technically optimising envisioned solutions. In further planning stages, detailed solutions and product suggestions are offered, providing valuable support through site supervision.

Artificial Lighting

By investigating materials and spatial arrangements, specific design objectives for light quality are established.The schematic phase involves precise photometric calculations and coordination with other building trades, reflected in concept reports, CAD drawings, and lighting control descriptions.

Design development incorporates insights from electrical and structural engineers. Tender documents adhere to local regulations, and Lichtvision supports clients in award negotiations, considering alternatives while ensuring targeted lighting qualities. During construction, hands-on experience, and mock-ups aid in providing necessary support, solidifying Lichtvision’s commitment to delivering exceptional lighting solutions.

Visual Media

The digitalization of light opens up a new application area, combining classical façade lighting with media facades. A strong concept is central to designing a dynamic media façade, complemented by software solutions to realise the content.
Most often budget constraints, closely tied to resolution and pixel count, impact content display and the overall lighting plan. Lichtvision addresses these constraints early on, ensuring both content and budget requirements align in the concept phase. The client is presented with 3D animations showcasing the concepts. In the schematic design phase, Lichtvision determines the optimal lighting, control, and playback systems. Before the design development phase, mock-ups are used to confirm the visual quality of the concept
